Recycling Is a Scam...

... if Recyclables Are Mismanaged.

In the past few days, I went through a post on Linkedin titled "Recycling is a Scam". The post showed a video about plastic recycling in Canada. A bottle was marked with a GPS that tracked the journey until its end: an incineration process.

The video shows a sad reality that continues to happen, but starting from that, we cannot say that recycling is a scam.

On the contrary, recycling is a scam if waste is mismanaged.

Indeed, the video showed that mismanagement.

Mismanagement can be avoided only by educating and sharing the advantages that recycling can offer. I'm talking about the opportunity to relaunch local facilities, the capability to create new jobs, the capability to reduce problems connected with scarcity of some raw materials, and more.

Only by sharing these advantages can it be possible to promote recycling and save tons of natural resources.

Recycling is not a scam. Mismanagement of recyclables makes recycling a scam.

Keep Segregating and Keep Recycling!
